Travel fills the gaps
Easy half-days close to the hospital while you're having treatment. Longer trips once your doctor says you're ready.
Plans can change
If your doctor wants you to rest or come back for another visit, we move the trip. Hotels and cars are rebooked for you.
Altitude. Kunming is about 1,890 m above sea level, Dali about 2,000 m and Lijiang about 2,400 m. Chongqing is much lower. After surgery or dental treatment, ask your doctor before flying or travelling to higher places. We keep the trip at low altitude and easy-going until your doctor says you are ready.

The City of Eternal Spring
Kunming sits on a high plateau with mild weather all year round, which makes it a calm, comfortable place to recover after treatment.
- Mild climate. Rarely too hot or too cold.
- Close to Southeast Asia. Direct flights from many Southeast Asian cities, plus the China–Laos railway.
- Hot springs and herbs. Anning's hot springs are about an hour away, and Yunnan is home to more than half of China's plant species, including thousands of medicinal plants.
The Mountain City
A dramatic city built on hills where two rivers meet, with large medical university hospitals and bright night views over the water.
- Major medical centres. Large public teaching hospitals, a dedicated dental hospital and public TCM hospitals.
- World Capital of Hot Springs. Named in 2012 by the World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy (FEMTEC).
- Famous food. Hotpot and street food, with milder options while you recover.
